Scholarships
- The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund offers college scholarships to students from New England with financial need who display academic excellence, strong citizenship and character, and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to society.
- Alexis Grubbs Memorial Scholarship Fund - This scholarship shall be awarded to a student at Marietta High School, Marietta, Georgia, who intends to pursue a career in some aspect of the legal field. The criteria for the award is the description of Alexis made by Otis Brumby, Jr., Publisher of the Marietta Daily Journal.
- Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship In her honor, Google is proud to honor Anita’s memory and support women in technology with the 2009 Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship. Google hopes to encourage women to excel in computing and technology and become active role models and leaders in the field.
Google Anita Borg Scholarship recipients will each receive a $10,000 award for the 2009-2010 academic year; Finalists will each receive a $1,000 award. A group of female undergraduate and graduate students will be chosen from the applicant pool, and scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate’s academic background and demonstrated leadership. All scholarship recipients and finalists will be invited to attend the Annual Google Scholars’ Retreat in Mountain View, California on June 25-28, 2009.
- The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship: Europe, the Middle East and North Africa As part of Google’s ongoing commitment to furthering Anita’s vision, we are pleased to announce The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship: Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Through the scholarship, we aim to encourage women to excel in computing and technology, and become active role models and leaders.
- A. Patrick Charnon Scholarship Each scholarship will be for $1,500 per academic year, prorated and awarded at the beginning of each academic term (for example, semester or quarter). Recipients may re-apply each year for up to four years, provided they continue to meet the requirements of the award.
- Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association - The Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association is a non-profit organization established to provide educational assistance to children and grandchildren of Seabees.
- The Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship - The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation, in association with Ernst & Young LLP, is offering three (3) scholarships in honor of Fred Rogers, the creator and long-time host of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.
The scholarships are intended to support and encourage aspiring undergraduate and graduate students to pursue careers in children’s media and further the values and principles of Fred Rogers’ work.
- Libbie H. Hyman Memorial Scholarship - This scholarship, in memory of Libbie H. Hyman, one of America's foremost invertebrate zoologists, provides assistance to students to take courses OR to carry on research on INVERTEBRATES at a marine, freshwater, or terrestrial field station. The amount of the 2008 award was $1200.
The Hyman Scholarship is intended to help support a first meaningful field station experience for a first or second year graduate student, or an advanced undergraduate.
- SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund - SEMA's mission is to foster industry leadership by supporting the education of students pursuing careers in the automotive aftermarket.
- Krystal Pepper Memorial Scholarship fund - a college scholarship to honor the memory of Krystal Pepper. Administered through Krystal's school, Thomas More College, they will award an annual scholarship to an elementary education major, with first preference given to graduates from Krystal's High School, Conner. [Kentucky]
- Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarships & Awards
- These are the primary scholarships offered by the Fund to deserving 99s Members who are licensed pilots in need of financial assistance to progress toward a specific goal of qualifying for or advancing in an aviation-related profession or charitable cause.
- A.W. Bodine - Sunkist Growers Scholarship - The Bodine-Sunkist scholarship honors the memory of Sunkist board vice chairman Arthur W. Bodine. Eligibility requirements include financial need and a family or personal involvement in California or Arizona agriculture. It is open to students entering any phase of their undergraduate college career, at any school, and in any field of study.
